Amy Isabella Chalker is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist in Santa Barbara, CA specializing in the treatment of disordered eating behaviors and clinical eating disorders. She seeks to assist clients in developing their own unique, healthy relationship with food and eating, and in doing so, develop a consistent, supportive relationship with the clients themselves. Amy also works closely with parents to help them feed toddlers through adolescents in emotionally and behaviorally healthy ways.
Amy has been a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist for 13 years, working in a variety of professional settings, including private practice, clinical care, the food industry, and other wellness settings. Her focus has ranged from general nutrition to weight management to her current specialities in clinical eating disorders, disordered eating behaviors, and child/family feeding. Hailing from Cape Cod, MA, Amy attended Columbia University in New York City and Simmons University in Boston, receiving her B.S. in Nutrition & Food Science, and completing her Dietetic Internship through California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. Amy is a member of iaedp (International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals) and maintains her RDN status through the Commission on Dietetic Registration. She is currently obtaining her hours toward becoming a Certified Eating Disorder Registered Dietitian (CEDRD).
